Thornbridge has a caravan park licence and we have been successfully hosting primitive campers since 2019.
This is the webpage that directs campers to HipCamp, our booking platform.
Please ask us about how easy operating this side venture is.
At “Thornbridge” we offer back-to-nature camping
Avoid the crowds, with only 3 large campsites, with plenty of space in between.
Only 3 hours from Melbourne, in North East Victoria’s wine, food and water sports region,
the King Valley is an easy place to fill a weekend.
Popular with groups and for family get-togethers,
Our campsites are in a back paddock, in a quiet valley,
shared with no one else.
This is an opportunity to get away from crowded campsites
with bush walking, fresh air and starlit skies.
Dogs are welcome too, on our cattle farm.
Primitive camping means you’ll have the opportunity to
bring all of your own equipment with you.
Bring as much luxury as you want, or as little as you need.
Firewood is easily gathered and free.
Each campsite has afternoon shade, a fireplace
and little else to distract you from spending time with your loved ones.

Local attractions include wineries, brewery, distillery, cheese makers,
homegrown produce, gourmet food makers and regular weekend markets.
With the Ovens and King rivers, Lake William Hovel, Winton wetlands and many creeks nearby,
the King Valley is a water lover’s destination.
Fish, kayak, or swim.
Visit Paradise falls to see cascading waterfalls,
Glenrowan showcases bush ranger Ned Kelly’s last stand and visit Power’s Lookout to see a bush ranger’s hide out.
All within 30 minutes’ drive of our cattle farm.
